Being asked to set one of my best friends’ dupattas for her wedding, a task typically done by a family member, is an immense honor that completely means the world to me.

Successfully setting this gorgeous dupatta/veil for Dena was a milestone for me. It was no easy task, and there was absolutely no room for error as it was the focal statement of her look - any slippage would have been a disaster. This was a dual-dupatta dress, so I also pleated and set an extremely heavy shoulder dupatta for her that was also integral to her outfit.

All together, this look is jaw-droppingly stunning mashAllah, bringing tears to every eye in the venue (including my own) - and well, well worth the hour and a half that it took to firmly set and secure everything in place.

Everything stayed in place ALL day, through photos, walking around, dinner, hugs, kisses, and a wild night of dancing. I could not be happier for her as she enters the newest chapter of her life 🤍
